My dress for the wedding and my date suit!
Finally here's the picture of the dress I was wearing for my friend's wedding and the suit I choose for my date.
I decided to go simple with a cream Marc Jacob hair band, Black Platform high hills Guess shoes, I added big cream earrings in shell and to complete the look I added a long cross Rosary with pearls and gold touch and a row of pearls to my wrist. (The sunglasses are just an extra accessory for my sensitive eyes and I was also wearing a Dior Black bag but it is no shown on the picture)
For my date, I went with the formal black suit with a Grey/Goldish shirt and a black tie. Simple but very elegant.

My "shoes" pick of the week
I completely felt in love with this pair of high heels shoes from GUESS. Actually, I found this pair of shoes after spending a day with my brown Louis Vuitton Ballerina. My feet were hurting so much by lunch time that I couldn't even go get my own lunch. That made me realise that my feet were only hurting when I was wearing flat shoes. I am never going to wear flat shoes again. Heels are definitely my feet's best friends.
I really like the silver look of those high heels and the "Ninja" pattern made in the leather, simply gorgeous. My feet are so exited to walk again on 12cm heels (4.72 inches), I just need to buy them now!
GUESS - Ninja (FL1NJALEM03) - €210,00

YVES SAINT LAURENT at Le Petit Palais (Paris)
You have to go see the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at le Petit Palais in Paris. More than 300 looks are exposed, from the beginning of his career until the end. The more striking piece of the exhibition is definitely the room where they reproduced his office and put there is glasses, just as if we were stuck in time and Mr Saint Laurent was about to come back and start drawing again. It is a very emotive moment for every true fashionistas. Lets not even talk about the fabric room or the last ball room, it is just a little girl's dream come true to see some of Yves Saint Laurent's creation. He was gifted, that's for sure.
You have until the 29th of August to see this exhibition. It is probably the only one of this quality and look's quantity that you will ever get to see for Yves Saint Laurent. It is such an incredible experience.
I guest you get my point, it is worst seeing, so just go and I swear you won't regret it.

A fresh British look in Paris!
Cara is a lovely girl from England and she is studying Fashion in Paris. In this picture she is wearing a black blather above a grey and white "Canadian style shirt" with a black slim and low boots. I think what is totally completing her outfit is the hat she is wearing. It adds a personal touch to her look and is also giving a fresh British fashion lesson to the Parisian.
I Love it!

My dress for my friend's wedding!
This is a dress I bought to go to a friend's wedding. It is from Bebe.
I know black is not a wedding color but I like a lot the gold and the laces. I also figure out that I also wanna stand out in the wedding. Isn't it what fashion people do, try to stand out anywhere they can?
FYI: I am not wearing the accessories that I will wear on the D-day!

Christine cute high waist mini skirt look!
Wearing a high waist skirt with a marine top and flat ballerina, Christine look is classic but very cute and trendy.
This is a good look for girls who are small like Christine or me. High Waist mini skirt are definitely in and they make your legs look very long. I personally wear mine with high heels. (Makes my legs look even longer!)

Bojana is a beautiful girl from Serbia with an amazing sense of Fashion. In this pictures, she wears a total brown look. Starting with a brown scarf, puffy sleeves, high waist pants, a big brown silver belt at her waist and the horseback riding boots covering her knees, she has managed to create a look that could have been too much but with respecting the color codes and using the right amount of accessories she really pull it off.
Bojana fashion style will be followed closely. New pictures coming soon!

Les Droles Idees de Dorothee...
I found a new young interesting designer. Her name is Dorothée Ossart. Her brand “Les Droles Idees de Dorothee…” is sold online. Dorothée Ossart launched her brand in 2004. She takes her inspirations from the 70’s, the 60’s the 20’s, Manga’s drawing, Barbie and lots of prints.
Her collections is very orginal but in the same time fresh and wearable.

Importance of Merchandising - ABERCROMBIE & FITCH
When I used to think about merchandising the first thing that would come up in my mind was the brand Abercrombie and Fitch. They always have represented to me a successful company in merchandising. They have been using seduction management, to lure the consumers to come in their store and eventually by their products. Even before you enter their store you can smell from across the street, the branded perfume that is now part of their identity. When you get closer you can definitely recognize from far the outside of the store. Abercrombie and Fitch has no front window display, however there is most of the time a sexy bare chest model at the entrance, luring girls to come in the store. All the senses are fulfilled as soon as the consumer walks in the store and I always thought it was part of Abercrombie and Fitch marketing strategy. Now, I understand that merchandising is also a mean in the marketing strategy. Abercrombie and Fitch’s stores merchandising selection and organization are very important for the brand itself, and actually confirm its positioning according to its target. (Young, attractive middle class, college students…)
Abercrombie and Fitch used efficiently the marketing mix with the 4P’s (place, product, price, promotion). They seduce their customers using the five senses, of course they first goal is to attract the consumers attention and make them dream. Abercrombie and Fitch succeed at it with the outside design of the store, and their very recognizable brand image. Inside the store the consumers are completely seduced and are obviously encouraged to buy something from the store. This is due to the way they organized the stores. When the consumers walk in the store they can either go right or left, witch means either to the boy or girl section. The first thing they will see in each side is the new collection, laid out on tables, put into shelves and hanging on hangers. As the consumers will get deeper in the store they will also find the oldest collection. At the end of the store, all the articles are on sale. However, in the back of the store, right next to the cash register and the cosmetics products (perfume, creams…) there are always new collection products put forward to push the consumer to buy more. Plastic mannequins also proposed a certain look to consumers, sometimes even of items that haven’t been put in the store yet, forcing the consumer to come back later or order them online.
Abercrombie and Fitch merchandising strategy is very strict and the sales assistants must follow precisely the merchandising plan, telling them how many clothes should be out in the store, how to fold the clothes, where to put them, in what order and what colors. Everything is well thought and organized, and every customer’s fall into the same trap every time they walk in the store and end up by making a purchase, even thought they understand the store concept and the seduction strategy put in place by the brand.
Using this example and from what I have learned in class I see merchandising has having two types of objectives. The first one is quantitative; the idea is to push consumers to buy the products in the store. The second one is qualitative; so a brand can show its real identity. To reach the first objective every good merchandiser needs to facilitate the consumer traveling inside the store, put forward the best offer and the latest collection and finally to offer to the customer a service corresponding to the store image. For the second objective, the merchandiser needs to work on the store location, environment, decoration, the store displays and even the furniture in the store, while taking into consideration the brand image and communication strategy.
A successful merchandising strategy is one that succeeds in attracting customers not only in the store but also to push them to buy products in the store. Every good merchandisers need to study carefully the brand for witch he or she will be working for, its image and understand also its marketing strategy. Every good merchandiser also know that every time he or she puts a display together, it is not according to his or her taste but to the taste of the consumer of the brand. The merchandising strategy must before all appeals to the brand’s target and image.
